Students visited to Chile during their winter break as part of “Democracy in Latin America” class. The travel was part of Traveling Research and Immersion Program, which is a faculty-led tour planned to give students hands-on experience that praises the work they do in the classroom.

Chilean and Australian airlines will be able to provide up to four thousand seats per week between these two nations after a renegotiated air services deal. Warren Truss, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Development, told that Chile is the primary gateway for Australian people to visit South America and the spread out bilateral deal will offer travelers more flight options.
On Monday, in a statement, Truss told that this doubles the earlier capacity as well as opens up scopes for Aussie airlines to better serve holiday-makers and other travelers to South America.
At present, Qantas offers 3 flights per week between Santiago and Sydney with Boeing 747-400 plane and has at times added a 4th weekly service at peak seasons. Continue reading »
